Staff Team

At the Frank Chapman Centre we believe having the right staff team is our biggest asset. All staff at FCC enjoy working with young people and work hard to create a welcoming family feel to the place. We strive to make sure every visitor feels valued and secure within an environment that encourages them to reach their potential.

We are a small team and understand that a residential course extends beyond just activities and ensure that support staff and tutorial staff are fully involved with resident groups to give them the best experience we can.

All staff are First Aid trained, have an enhanced CRB check and qualifications relevant to their roles. We encourage all staff to take an active part in meetings, staff training, safety, risk assessment and centre development

We feel it is important that our tutorial staff at the Frank Chapman Centre should be trained practitioners in the field and they should be highly committed and engaged educators who have excellent skills across a range of areas – including facilitation, teaching and technical instructional skills. We also believe it is essential that they are enthusiastic and passionate about working with and the education of young people.

Our tutorial staff team brings a breadth of professional experience and qualifications in delivering outdoor education and activity courses to young people from a wide variety of age groups and backgrounds. The tutorial staff and support staff can often be found on mountains, rivers, lakes and the sea when not at work. All tutorial staff are up to date with the skills, knowledge and practice required to deliver safe educational experiences within adventurous settings.
