Frank’s Future Forest.
In partnership with the Woodland Trust we invite you to join us and plant a tree in Frank’s Future Forest!
We are inviting local Worcestershire, and of course our own Sandwell schools or groups to bring young people free of charge to the centre from November to March to be part of creating a new woodland area.
John, our student placement from Harper Adam College is designing and building a fab new children free play area along an underused area of our field and part of it is a future section of woodland.
Last year we applied for a grant of 420 tree from the Woodland Trust and gave lots of young people the opportunity to get planting. This year we have 1260 to get into the ground which means we can do so much more both here and back in your community.
We can also help you start or improve a ‘forest’ back in your setting with ‘trees to go’ that you can take back and plant in your forest school or wild areas too. Your Forest School leader will let you know if you can use some!
There is no charge for any visits to help us plant trees and our kitchen staff are always on stand by with warm drinks and biscuits for the workers.
Call Debbie at the centre to book a slot help us allocate trees. If you already have a residential course booked with us speak to us about incorporating tree planting into your programme.
